Akaya Labs' promise to clients can be summarised in a single sentence: delivered on the date agreed, at the quality promised, without surprises.
01Precise
Akaya Labs contracts do not contain vague phrases like 'included in scope' or 'we'll figure it out later'. Every engagement begins, before the contract is signed, with a written scope document that defines as clearly what will be built as what will not. Any changes, additional costs or schedule shifts that emerge during the engagement are re-aligned in writing. We do not put surprise invoices in front of clients; respecting discipline is a corporate behaviour for us, not a marketing promise.
02Fast
The software industry tends to fail in two characteristic ways: at one end, half-finished MVPs shipped in two weeks; at the other, ambitious engagements that begin as 'six months' and stretch into a two-year scope creep. Akaya Labs stays away from both. We honour the timeline we committed to, and if it changes, the reason and the revised date are communicated together. For us, speed is not delivering quickly — it is keeping the word that was given.
03Premium
We combine large-agency engineering standards with a boutique studio's discipline of ownership. This is a concrete set of decisions: performance, accessibility, security and sustainability are committed to at project kickoff, not layered in retroactively. The code we write should be clean, documented and maintainable for a developer reading it two years after launch. Premium, for us, is not a marketing adjective — it is an engineering standard visible in every file we deliver.
04We finish what we start
Many studios ship a product, offer a thirty-day 'support window', and then step away. That model is not sustainable for either the long-term health of the product or the client relationship. Akaya Labs operates differently: the channel stays open after launch for maintenance, scaling, new feature work and bug fixes. Through maintenance clauses in the initial contract or a retainer arrangement, the client continues to receive responses from the same studio and the same developer.
05Disciplined
The values of a studio are, in practice, the filters it applies at the intake stage. For Akaya Labs those filters are clear: we do not design manipulative patterns, fabricated urgency, deceptive free-to-paid funnels or hidden subscriptions. We do not build software for gambling, betting or fraud-driven business models. These are not marketing lines but a corporate discipline, raised openly in the first conversation, and, where necessary, leading to declining the engagement.
